How To Stay Focused During Your Workout

The time you get to spend in the gym is precious and you need to maximize every second!  Avoid the BS and use these simple tips to stay focused at the gym.
Keep Clear and Concise Goals
When you enter the gym you should know exactly what you are going to do.  Don’t only keep your long-term goals in mind (lose weight, get bigger), but you should also have goals in-place for the workout you are about to perform.
Leave Your Baggage At The Door
Leave your problems at home.  Clear your head.  Stress and worrying can have a tremendous negative effect on your workout.  You’ll be less intense and more apt to stop early.
Motivation from Music
Most people already listen to music when they workout.  You can get an even bigger boost if you are selective about your music.  Choose songs that send a message, rev you up, or, if you’re doing some cardio, that  you can listen to forever.  Being really selective on your music can have a major psychological impact on your workout.
Focus on Form
If you don’t focus on form, you’ll probably be focusing on recovering from an injury later.  Every rep of every set you should be focusing on the muscle you’re working.
Have A Plan
You absolutely have to have a plan when you enter the gym.  Print workout sheets, set a time limit and hit it hard.
